Positive, Negitive, Plane, and Volume

3 Gesture Drawings in a Mirror

These were my drawings for in the mirror which I thought were pretty hard to draw. I drew one of a side view, one will messing up my moms hair and one of a regular looking at the mirror. These were not easy at all.

Positive Space Drawing

This is my positive Space drawing because it has a flower in the middle of the table, it is occupied with a subject. I drew my table out side on the porch put my flowered on it to draw.

Negative Space Drawing

I took the flower out of the middle of the table because for this drawing it is not occupied by a subject.

Still Life Objects Using Volume, Plane

These are my two drawings using Volume and Plane, Plane is the piece of paper your drawing on and the volume of this is the mass of the representation or mass of the art.

Contour Line Drawing

Is focusing on the edges of the still life objects. The objects are just appearing in the picture not fully but they are starting too.

Still life Objects

This is my new still life objects that I had to redo, due to my pet eating my first ones. These ones came out much better this time then my last ones did. Never hurts to do something over again it might turn out better.

Gesture and Contour Drawings

This is my continuous line drawing that I drew, I was having a hard time with this one. Being all the lines should have to be connected. This is a house up the road from mine that I drew.

This is my Contour line drawing which is the chandler in my kitchen. this was different from the first drawing because a contour line is just where you draw lines. I had to do this one a few times because I could just not get the hang of it.

This is my organizational line drawing, which is a tree that is all shaded. A organizational line drawing is a drawing with shading. I choose a tree in my back yard for this one.

This was another Organizational drawing that I did, it was off my aunt sitting on the bench outside of my house. It has shaded but also it could be a contour drawing to because there was alot of lines used.

This is another organizational/ contour line drawing it has lines and it has shading. This is of my horse that we have and her name is Coco. After doing a few of each drawings my favorite was the organizational drawing because I like to shade my art work in. I am not a fan of color.

Still Life Objects

This is my sphere that I painted. It is a party hat that I used and painted white. I had to do a few coats to get it looking the way it did.

This is my rectangular box that I painted. It is an old tissue box that I had laying around. This took about three coats I put that last one on today.

This is my cube that I painted. It was an old Jewelry Box that I had that I had to put three coats on.

This is my ball that I painted. I could not find a ball to paint so I had to paint an orange for now. This took only two coats to look the way it does now.

This is my cylinder that I painted it is an old mayo container, that was all I could find. It is plastic so this took about 5 coats and I think it could still use a few more coats that I will add to it.

Spatial Relationships

I choose this drawing for my 3D picture, when 3D comes to mind I think of hallways because you can see right to the end. Which makes it a 3D image. The angles that he used make it 3D as well.

When you say 2D architecture comes to mind but since someone else used it I chose this guy. When the artist drew this she drew it flat.  She did not bother to depth the image.

My next image that I chose was this field image.  I chose this one because in the image they you can see one field but in the other glance you see two fields. In this image you can see the combination of 2D and 3D, which is real cool.

Self= Portrait

This was the assignment to draw ourselfs, I picked my senior picture and tired drawing it. I am not the best artist but I think I did okay. It was though drawing some of the aspects of the picture, I mean the parts where I would draw my legs in the picture that was thought and the lips were not easy either. I think after more practice I will be come better at this.

Unified Drawings

The first tool that I used was a fine point sharpie pen, when I first started with that ink pen I was not very comfortable because I knew I would make a mistake and need to erase and I knew I could not. I did not like the way it looks in the picture as much as I do pencil. I just think pencil is the best to use unless your really good with ink. Ink can be very messy as well.

The second tool that I used was a pencil. Also known as graphite. I used this one first because I have used it before and I knew it was not messy. I am very comfortable using a pencil to draw just like more people are. I feel if I was going to draw for a living this would be what I would use cause I am messy and will want to erase.

The next one that I used was colored pencil; I wanted to see the difference between the colored pencil and the pencil. Still my favorite tool to draw with is the pencil cause you can erase and I just think it looks much better. I also used Charcoal and did not like it at all it was so messy and hated drawing with it.

My Ideal sketch might not mean a lot to others but it has its own meaning behind it. This is a part of my life and means a lot to me. This might not have a lot of realism to it but its got meaning, and the sketch and coloring is not over taking. It is a meaning of a death of a family member. The artist used the right tools and medium to make this sketch.
